Howdy, i read your blog from time to time and i own a similar one and i was just curious if you get a lot of spam responses? If so how do you stop it, any plugin or anything you can advise? I get so much lately it’s driving me crazy so any help is very much appreciated.

We do receive more than a few spam responses a week.
WordPress sends emails indicating comments, which I can then moderate.
There are also levels of spotting spam, and you can require information which limits spam comments.
If I were you I would either Google for spam control software or see WordPress.org.
